This unique event is part of an international festival that began with Taste of London in 2004 and has since spread to some of the greatest cities worldwide - Dublin to Cape Town, Dubai to Sydney - now it is Amsterdam's turn to host a celebration of the finest cuisine we have to offer. Participating restaurants: Ron Blaauw, Sophia, Eau de Vie, Elkaar, Lute, Fifteen, MOMO, Sucre, Posthorn, Aan de Poel, Toscannini, As, Smartbites, Vis aan de Schelde, Het Bos.

Amsterdam International Fashion Week 2010 - 10.07 - 18.07
The Amsterdam International Fashion Week will take place from 10 until 18 July 2010. The Catwalk Programme will take place at the Westergasterrein starting 14 July.
Amsterdam is reputed as a city of inspiration and this has inevitably influenced developments in fashion. It is for this reason that Amsterdam International Fashion Week (AIFW) is somewhat more progressive than fashion weeks in other cities. During the AIFW, commerce and creativity are combined. In addition to the bustling catwalks, a multitude of fashion events, lectures, exhibitions, performances and parties will take place.

Amsterdam Gay Pride - We are Amsterdam Pride - 01.08 - 08.08
Amsterdam Gay Pride is the largest gay event in the Netherlands, with a multitude of cultural events, sporting activities, parties. The climax is an extravagant and carnivalesque boat parade through the Amsterdam canals.
SAIL Amsterdam 2010 - 19.08 -23.08
In August 2010, Amsterdam will once again host one of the largest maritime festivals in the world: SAIL Amsterdam 2010. This festival gives the public the opportunity to go aboard Tall ships and enjoy the sight of the most impressive ships in the world.

Dam tot Damloop - 19.09
The 26th edition of the Dam tot Damloop run will take place on Sunday September 19th 2010. The Dam tot Damloop is the largest running event in the Netherlands and the largest business run of its kind in the world. Hundreds of thousands of spectators create a unique atmosphere along the 10 EM* run, 4 EM run and the Mini Dam tot Dam runs.
International Documentary Film Festival (IDFA) - 18.11 - 28.12
From 18 through 28 November, various theatres around the Rembrandtplein participate in the 23th International Documentary Festival Amsterdam (IDFA). Once again, IDFA has made a selection of the most interesting and urgent documentaries of the past year. From wonderfully designed masterpieces to current affairs reports from all corners of the world, the films can be personal, full of intimate details, but also flaming pamphlets on societal subjects. Those who wish to discuss the films afterwards are able to enter into debate with the many directors that are present.
